Can You Grate Carrots In A Vitamix?

Can You Grate Carrots In A Vitamix-? Most assuredly yes! You certainly can grate carrots in a Vitamix. Virtually any Vitamix blender can grate carrots so tryout the one in your possession today.

Naturally, carrots are veggies and so they contain some amount of liquid in them. A mere look at carrots one might conclude that they are hard in nature but that’s not true.

As veggies, raw carrots are 88% water, 9% carbohydrates, 0.9% protein, 2.8% dietary fiber, 1% ash and 0.2% fat.

Carrot dietary fiber comprises mostly cellulose, with smaller proportions of hemicellulose, lignin and starch. Free sugars in carrot include sucrose, glucose, and fructose

All carrots needs to go down easy in a blender is a little assistance by tearing it into parts. This way it is open and the fleshy part will be revealed.

So from this we can easily say that the outer layer of a carrot is tougher than the inner layer.

This is how you overcome the trick and break it down at it’s weakest point.

Things You’ll Need:

Contents

  • Vitamix blender
  • Carrots
  • Sharp Knife
  • Sponge
  • Water
  • Bowl
  • Chopping board
  • Carrot peeler

Step 1

I usually start by removing what I call the crown( the top leafy part). This is because it harbors sand/soil. It can prove difficult sometimes so, use a knife to aid easy removal.

Step 2

The next is total washing of the carrot. I recommend you use a sponge. Something that can push the soil and any other deposit off the carrots skin. Wash the carrots thoroughly and make sure no soil is left.

Step 3

Here the preparation process is gradually coming together. Now peel off the layers you aren’t comfortable with using the carrot peeler.

Step 4

Assuming you washed your blender after pervious use, a little rinsing of the blender jar will do.

Step 5

Try tearing the veggie into two or three parts. This will ease the work for your blender blades. It will also, make the result fast.

Step 6

Plug your blender to power

Step 7

Pour the averagely pieced carrots into the Vitamix. Never overload please.

Note:

I recommend little at a time. That way you wouldn’t need to add water because, carrots as a veggie almost nearly melts, when grated.

Once you have poured in the chopped carrots, turn on your blender and “zuumm” At a go, your carrot is grated.

If you just want to grate then check at interval to see progress. Pour out the processed and pour in new set but if you wanna make a paste for carrot soups/puddings, then keep adding as you ground.

This is how you grate carrots in a Vitamix. The difference here is that you are using a Vitamix and this automatically makes work easy for you.

Stressful and almost endless dicing is off the plate. Just wash, peel off unnecessary parts of the carrots, tear into reasonable sizes and leave your Vitamix to do the grating.

As know already know, I like to exhaust all options in any topic treated in this blog. So lets quickly touch some other ways we can grate carrots.
