Can You Take A Nutribullet On A Plane?

Can You Take A Nutribullet On A Plane? If You package it well, You Can.  This is because it is among things that are prohibited in a plane( things with sharp objects).

You will be allowed” to carry not just the nutribullet but any other kind of blender on a plane as long as you have room for it in either your carry-on luggage or the checked-in bag (preferably check-bags)

The nutribullet is very portable and falls as the first choice for plane trips since it won’t take space. But this doesn’t make it any less dangerous than other blenders because it also has blades.

Permission to carry a blender on a plane is usually granted by airport security/authority. Trying to play smart by not indicating may lead to unforeseen circumstances such as embarrassment or not finding it where you hid it on arrival.

Either way, it is a great loss for you.

You might wanna ask how do I let airport security know and still be allowed to carry a blender on a plane? It is possible.

Usually, you ought not to travel on a plane with sharp objects and every blender has blades-which makes it a weapon.

If there is a pressing need that you must go on the trip with a blender, then give a concrete reason why you should and you just might be “allowed to”

Some people have a serious health condition that needs to be attended to, others have personal reasons.

Whatever your reason may be to have prompted the action if travelling with a blender, kindly communicate politely and you will be told how to package it for safety.

Contents

To carry a blender on a plane, you must disassemble the blade from its attachment and wrap it separately.

  • Start by getting a safety bag for the blades so it won’t cut you or anyone else.
  • Then wrap blades with paper/cloth to keep it sturdy and then get your safety zip plug bag and store it in your carry-on bag.
  • Put the well-secured blades into your checked bag
  • Other parts of the blender such as sup/jar, motor… should also go in without dismantling. Except you are trying to conserve space.
  • If you have any of the bullets (be it magic bullet or nutribullet), and still got space in your carry-on bag, get the base and cup in as well.
  • If yours is the normal size blender, carry the blades in your carry-on luggage then store the base and jar in your check-in bag.

It is very wise to let the security know that you have a personal blender with you. Letting them discover on their own is not rewarding.

“If you succeed in putting all the blender components that have been separated and properly packaged in your carry on bag and weren’t notice or turned down, congrats if not, don’t be too hard on yourself.”

(Sometimes the fear of being turned down makes a lot of people go incognito.)

What Can I Not Carry On A Plane

Safety is an integral part of life and should be observed at all times.

With the safety of passengers in mind, the airport authorities came up with a list of few things that cannot be boarded with.

Notwithstanding, there are some items that you might be allowed to carry if registered and checked in with the appropriate authority.

These items are categorized under the following:

  • Razor
  • Pocket knife
  • Plier
  • Spanner
  • Scissors
  • Personal Lighter
  • Personal Matches
  • Ammunition- Real or Toy replicas  of firearms and ammunition
  • Weapons- such as whips, nan-chakus, baton, or stun gun
  • Perfumes-Aerosols and liquids
  • Poison, toxic-Poisons and infectious substances such as insecticides, weed-killers and live virus materials
  • Acid- Corrosives such as acids, alkalis, mercury and wet cell batteries and apparatus containing mercury
  • Compressed gases – deeply refrigerated, flammable, non-flammable and poisonous such as butane oxygen, liquid nitrogen, aqualung cylinders and compressed gas cylinders
  • Electronic devices which cannot be switched off
  • Flammable liquids-Flammable liquids and solids such as lighter refills, lighter fuel, matches, paints, thinners, fire-lighters, lighters that need inverting before ignition, matches (these may be carried on the person), radioactive material, briefcases and attache cases with installed alarm devices
  • Explosives- Explosives, munitions, fireworks and flares, ammunition including blank cartridges, handguns, fireworks, pistol caps
  • Bleach- Oxidizing materials such as bleaching powder and peroxides
  • Other dangerous articles such as magnetized materials, offensive or irritating material

The prohibited items are not totally limited to the above mentioned as common sense should prevail when necessary in deciding which item can raise tension on other passengers or be which can be used as a weapon.

But if for some reason you have a need for any of these on your trip then ensure you put them in your checked baggage to avoid denial and embarrassment.

In my study, I realised that some airport flight regulation differs, for instance, the rule that governs international flights differ from that of local flight.

My advice for you is to identify with the kind of flight you are boarding. Check out what is allowed and what isn’t using the items I have listed above as starting point.

Can I Take A Hand Blender On A Plane?

Yes you can but be first informed that blending appliances (whether a standing or an immersion blender) should be carried in checked bags not and should follow these procedures:

1. Break into two

hand blenders or immersion blenders have the head- which is the power source or motor and the stick- which houses the blades at the bottom.

So you separate the stick from the motor by either unscrewing or pushing a button(depending on the one you have).

This will reduce the length in case your bag isn’t big enough.

2. Loosen the blades

Try to see if you can separate the blades from the bottom of the stick. Then wrap the blades in a safety bag before putting it in the checked luggage.

What if you are unable to separate the blades? Well simply wrap the blender stick with paper, package it in a safety bag and put it in the checked bag.

The reason it should be separated and properly wrapped before packaging is that the powerhouse or head as you know, can be carried without any formal wrapping because it has no blade.

Also separating it will create more space/room for other things to go in. Wrapping the separated blades or the full stick(if unable to loosen the blades) will ensure safety for all.

Did you know that the wand of a hand blender can even be used to attack a plane if carried in a carry-on bag? Well now you know so make sure it goes into the checked bag.
