  • Blender- Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender, Professional-Grade, 64 oz. Low-Profile Container, Black, Self-Cleaning – Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender.

Tip – I would use Bay leaf as an example, so you can follow the steps to grind other herbs.

Step 1 – Ensure your herbs is without moisture

If your blender blade is dry, ensure your Bay leaf is not wet. So, that you wouldn’t have issues while grinding. I would advise not to wet the bay leaf at all.

You can let the water that would be extracted from the Bay leaf do the work while grinding. Put them on a plate to know the quantity you are grinding.

Step 2 – Put the Bay leaf (herbs) in your blender

Pour the Bay leaf into your blender. I have recommended a blender above that you can purchase. However, ensure your blender jug and the Bay leaf is dry to prevent complications while grinding.

You can purchase another container for your blender base. Ensure you place the jug appropriately in the base before you turn on the blender.

Step 3 – Regulate the speed or pulse mode

Start by grinding with a low speed (1), follow by gradually increasing the speed till you get your desired consistency. The method shouldn’t take more than 25 seconds depending on the consistency you want.

Some herbs tend to add flavours depending on how long you blend them. Change the speed to the maximum speed for about 25 – 35 seconds to get a Finer and smoother texture. However, ensure you don’t overheat your herbs.

Step 4 – Put the ground bay leaf aside

After getting the consistency you want, put the ground bay leaf in a small bowl and cover it for your use. Then, clean your blender and store it in a cool and dry place.
